The State Tournament Preview Show presented by Stark State College

The final podcast of the 2016-17 season is presented by Stark State College and features a breakdown of all 12 games on tap for Thursday-Saturday in Columbus as four Ohio state champions will be crowned. Also, University of Mount Union coach Mike Fuline stops by to share memories of Jackson’s last trip to the state tournament and what the week is like for coaches whose teams are headed to Columbus.

The On The Bench Podcast, a twice-weekly show dedicated to Northeast Ohio high school basketball, launched in December 2016.

It is hosted by Ken Rector, who spent the last 20 winters as the head coach at Barberton High School, and Zac Jackson. It got its name, "On The Bench," because Ken liked that better than the other options and because Zac spent plenty of time on the bench during his playing career at Manchester High School.

The show focuses on teams and players from Stark and Summit Counties, though throughout the season includes discussion of teams from all over Greater Cleveland, Wayne and Medina Counties and even Youngstown.

On The Bench is generally produced twice weekly through the basketball season. It includes interviews with some of Northeast Ohio's best and most interesting coaches, discussion of the top players and key upcoming games and an analysis of potential matchups and pitfalls as teams of all levels march towards March.

Young coaches with questions on anything from roster management to situational basketball are encouraged to submit questions that Ken can answer on the show.

A regular contributor to the podcast is T.J. Peatross of NEOhioSpotlight.com. Peatross ranks the top teams and covers the top games throughout Northeast Ohio on his website, and he joins Rector and Jackson regularly throughout the season to discuss top matchups and storylines from all over the region.

On The Bench is presented by Raymond James Financial Services, Dennis Liddle in Barberton.
